Great insight! One of the most important things I noticed after becoming single was that I did for everybody else and didn't focus solely on what I wanted to do in life regardless of my status. I have become fearless and plan to take charge and live for me to the fullest and know that the time will come when it's time for Mr. Right.
Me 1st!

"Hi:

Two things

1) I’d like your permission to (re)print your article on “Mad Men”
for our website

2) I was hoping we could use your ‘scribing’ talent for our website.

The Best Shows Youre Not Watching (dot) com [all one word]

‘The Clone Wars’ is one of our featured shows. We’re hoping to round up a few people who can occasionally contribute perspective (via an article/blog) on the shows – maybe a recent episode, future direction, plot shortcomings etc.

What’s in it for you?
Primarily a larger audience back channeled to your blog. We don’t pay but the site has a lot of promise and we're pretty excited about getting it off the ground. Let me know what you think.

Thanks

The new movie "Fireproof", starring Kirk Cameron, is awesome. It's a story about a couple who have drifted apart-both only concentrating on what they are not getting from the other instead of trying to give the other what he/she needs. The wife asks for a divorce but the husband's father gives him a 40-day challenge called "The Love Dare." Each day he has to do something for his wife and each day builds on the previous day. It's amasing to watch this couple find a new kind of love for one another. After watching this movie over the weekend, my husband and I have decided to renew our wedding vows for our 10th anniversary (this November), and to treat our marriage as a covenant and not a contract. I loved this movie and would reccommend it to everyone, especially couples. It really shows that no matter how far you think it's gone, God can turn it back around!

"Fireproof" was made by a church in Georgia. They also made the movie "Facing the Giants", which is also a great movie to give people hope, especially couples. It's the story of a losing coach at a Christian school and his wife. They have struggles left and right and desperately want a child but face each problem together. Once the coach finally decides to give everything to God and give him the glory no matter what, things start falling into place for the couple, the football team, and the school. This heartwarming movie had me crying a happy cry both times saw it!

The pressure is definitely on in your mid to twenties and above to get married. But, you made a great point when you said unhappy singles create unhappy marriages. Happiness is a choice that you make and you have to define it for yourself, No one else can do it for you. When you put those unrealistic expectations on your partner, you set your relationship up for failure.

I agree with the other two respondents. This is a great blog. Now that I am 24 I am seeing that alot of my friends are getting married. I have been in 3 weddings, and I am attending one at the beginning of next year. Can you say "27 dresses." I joke about it but I have no desire to get married anytime soon. I can say that I am happy with my current partner, and I am in a healthy relationship. Everyday we are learning something new about each other.
